Academician Huanbin Liu, South China University of Technology, China Process Modelling and Simulation & Soft Sensor & Intelligent Control Huanbin Liu, professor, doctoral supervisor, is a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Engineering. He was the President of the South China University of Technology from 1995 to 2003. He has long been engaged in teaching, research, and management in higher education. He has chaired and undertaken more than 30 key projects at national and provincial levels, and has made breakthroughs in the fields of process modeling and simulation, soft measurement and intelligent control, energy saving and pollution control in the pulp and paper-making process. He has published more than 350 papers and 6 books; he was granted 25 invention patents; he also won 3 national awards and 12 provincial-and ministerial-level awards. | |
Prof. C. L. Philip Chen, School of Computer Science, South China University of Technology Computational intelligent systems, Computer networking, location and information security, Data mining and knowledge discovery, Information and video indexing, retrieval, security, and communications, Systems, Cybernetics, and Robotics C. L. Philip Chen is a Doctor, Distinguished Expert, Dean and Chair Professor at the School of Computer Science, South China University of Technology, and a Visiting Professor of Tsinghua University. He is the Vice President of the Chinese Society of Automation; IEEE Fellow; AAAS Fellow; IAPR Fellow; Academia Europaea; Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts; CAA Fellow; and HKIE Fellow. He was the editor-in-chief of IEEE Trans. on Cybernetics from 2020 to 2021; the editor-in-chief and general chair of IEEE Trans. on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems from 2014 to 2019. He is an editorial board member of Science China, Acta Automatica Sinica, IEEE Trans. on Fuzzy Systems, and IEEE Trans. on AI, as well as an associate editor of CAAI Trans. on AI. Prof. Chen is also the deputy director of Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy. Currently, he is mainly focusing on intelligent control systems, computational intelligence, hybrid intelligence, and data science. He has been listed as a highly-cited researcher by Clarivate Analytics for four consecutive years (2018–2021). His previous honors include three Macao S & T Awards, the First Prize of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and two IEEE TNNLS Outstanding Paper Awards. In 2016, he received the Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineer Award from Purdue University. In 2018, he received the IEEE SSIT Norbert Wiener Award. In 2021, he was awarded the IEEE SMC Joseph G. Wohl Outstanding Career Award and the Wu Wenjun AI Outstanding Youth Award. | |
Prof. Renke He, School of Design, Hunan University Product design theory and methods, design management, design and business model Renke He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Design, Hunan University. He was the Dean of the School of Design at Hunan University. In 2013, he was awarded an Outstanding Teacher under the Ten Thousand Talent Program. He was also a member of the Sub-Committee for Teaching Industrial Design in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, China, as well as a Member of the Discipline Assessment Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council, China. He has been teaching for 36 years. His previous honors include the top ten industrial design educators in China, a national teaching teacher, the first prize for national teaching achievements, the first prize for national teaching materials, the Xu Teli Education Award, and the first “Model of Teaching and Education in Hunan Province” nomination award. He is a reviewer of the Red Star Award, DIA Award, Red Dot Design Award, IF Design Award, and Good Design Award. | |
